From 2014 to 2017, he played 54 matches for KKR, scoring 608 runs with a highest of 60, his only fifty for the franchise.

In 2018, Mumbai Indians brought him back and the move proved to be a game-changer for his career. Since returning to MI, Suryakumar has become a regular fixture in the batting lineup, amassing 3319 runs in 104 matches. His time with MI has seen him score 25 half-centuries and two centuries, cementing his crucial role in the five-time champions’ success.
