IPL 2023: Fans Feel Dropped Catches Of KL Rahul Were A 'Tactical' Ploy By RR Against LSG
LSG after being asked to bat first managed just 37 runs in the powerplay with KL Rahul playing a maiden over to begin off the proceedings.
Although powerplays are that time of the innings when batters look to make the most of the fielding restrictions in place and score as many runs as possible, it didn't go as per the script for the Lucknow Super Giants against the Rajasthan Royals as IPL returned to the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur after 4 years on Wednesday.
LSG after being asked to bat first managed just 37 runs in the powerplay and got off to a really slow start. KL Rahul despite getting two chances eventually got out for 39 off 32 which came at a net run rate of 121.87. Fans were quick to take a dig at the LSG captain who has more than once gone on record saying strike rate is over rated in T20 cricket.
While some fans felt that the dropped catches by RR could have been a tactical ploy as his strike rate wasn't hurting by the Men in Pink, others took a dig at the fact that Rahul played a maiden over to start off the proceedings.
Check out are some of the tweets here:

Even Rajasthan Royals know his importance at the crease.
