IPL Qualifier 1: CSK Favourites In Today's Match, Will Delhi Capitals Overcome Tough Challenge?

IPL 2021 Qualifier 1: Chennai, led by captain Dhoni, has immense experience of playing big matches. It will not be easy for Rishabh Pant's team to overcome this challenge today.

IPL 2021 Qualifier 1: The first qualifier of IPL 2021 is likely to see a strong clash between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals today. MS Dhoni's team has made it to the playoffs for the 11th time and will be a strong contender for victory in today's match. Chennai team, led by captain Dhoni, has immense experience of playing in big matches and it will not be easy for Rishabh Pant's team to overcome this challenge today.

The two teams fiercely competed with each other in the League matches. Delhi was ranked first with 20 points in the points table but the playoffs will be a completely different type of match. Chennai also finished second in the points table with 18 points. Last year was the first time in the history of IPL when Chennai's team could not make it to the playoffs. The Dhoni-led team is looking for its fourth IPL title.

Chennai has made it to the final eight times.

Chennai, led by captain Dhoni, has lost three matches in a row. However, it does not seem to affect the team in the playoffs. The level of the Chennai team in the playoffs is unique. Talking about the record of Chennai, the team has made it to the final eight out of ten times in which it reached the playoffs. Out of these 8, it won the trophy thrice.

Trusting elderly experienced players is the highlight of Dhoni's team that makes them stand out from other teams. Dhoni relies on tried and experienced players, which is why his team has players like Ravindra Jadeja, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, Dwayne Bravo, and Faf du Plessis for a long time. Apart from these, international players like Josh Hazlewood and Moeen Ali are in the team, and former India captain Dhoni knows the exact team combination he wants.

Gaikwad and du Plessis will be the key players.

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis will be key players in Chennai's victory. Both have proved to be successful batsmen of the team in this IPL. However, along with Suresh Raina, captain Dhoni himself will be a little worried about his form. However, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja's batting performance has been excellent. The experience of Dwayne Bravo and Shardul Thakur has been very effective for the team's bowling performance.
