IPL 2024 Updated Points Table, Orange & Purple Cap: KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by four wickets in the 48th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2024 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. With this win, LSG now have six wins out of their 10 IPL matches and they sit third on the IPL 2024 points table.
After winning the toss, LSG put MI in to bat first and MI batters started their innings off on a poor note as they lost early wickets. They somehow managed to finish with 144/7 in their 20 overs on a pitch that had assistance for bowlers. Despite losing wickets here and there, LSG successfully chased the target with four balls remaining, thanks to Marcus Stoinis’ 45-ball 62 runs knock. MI, with this loss. Are now on the verge of an early elimination as they now have seven losses in 10 matches.
