The England-based cricketer sustained a muscle injury while fielding during England’s second ODI against Bangladesh in Mirpur. After the scans, the doctor suggested him to take rest and as a result, he pulled out of the cash-rich league. Jacks started playing international cricket this year itself, making his T20I and Test debut in Pakistan before playing his first ODI in Bangladesh.
Earlier, RCB stalwart Virat Kohli finished 15 years with the franchise. RCB roped in the former India skipper back in the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League. However, Kohli stepped down from the captaincy duty of RCB last year. The franchise are yet to seal the IPL title, despite playing the final three times.
Virat Kohli is one of the greatest batters in the history of IPL. While representing RCB in IPL, Virat amassed over 6000+ runs. RCB will start their IPL 2023 campaign by playing against Mumbai Indians on April 2 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
