IPL 2021 Preview: Rajasthan Royals Vs Delhi Capitals; Predicted XI, Match Predictions

Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant, the two young Indian captains in the IPL go head-to-head today in the match-7 of the IPL 2021.

RR vs DC, IPL 2021: Indian Premier League 2021 has been a great source of entertainment so far. Nearly all matches have ended in a thriller. Match 7 between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals will be played on 15 April, 2021 at 7:30 pm. Rajasthan are coming off an extremely close loss against Punjab Kings, while Delhi are coming off a win against Chennai.

This match is expected to be yet another high scoring encounter. The match is in Mumbai which has a flat pitch and small boundaries that help the batsmen.

Delhi Capitals: The DC team in 2020 was the best the franchise ever had. It is not a small feat to end up only second to the Champions Mumbai Indians who have arguably been the best side in the IPL. A lot of the credit for DC’s success would go to its coach, Ricky Ponting for infusing confidence in the side. IPL 2020’s first half belonged to DC, but slowly their form deteriorated.

With Shreyas Iyer injured, DC is lead by the exciting Rishabh Pant.

Rajasthan Royals: RR finished last in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League. The franchise made some important changes and additions in their side during the IPL Auction 2021. They released payers like Steven Smith, Oshane Thomas and Tom Curran prior to the Auction 2021. RR also bought South African all-rounder Chris Morris for a whopping 16.25 crore rupees.

Due to injury, Ben Stokes has been ruled out of the IPL 2021. Liam Livingstone is the most likely candidate to replace the ailing all-rounder.

Predicted Playing XI:

Rajasthan: Manan Vohra, Liam Livingstone, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Jos Buttler, Riyan Parag, Shivam Dube, Rahul Tewatia, Chris Morris, Shreyas Gopal, Chetan Sakariya, Mustafizur Rahman

Delhi: Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Marcus Stoinis, Shimron Hetmyer, Chris Woakes, Ravichandran Ashwin, Tom Curran, Amit Mishra, Avesh Khan

Match starts at 7:30 pm in Wankhade Stadium, Mumbai. Live Streaming on Disney+Hotstar.
