IPL 2021, DC Vs MI: Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium’s pitch has been a difficult one to guess for the batsmen and captains alike. Toss will play a crucial role in the Tuesday encounter in the Indian Premier League (IPL). If you look at the head-to-head comparison of Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) then MI is ahead with the ratio of 16:12. Can today’s match change that equation a bit?

Rishabh Pant, who is the captain of Delhi Capitals in place of the injured Shreyas Iyer would be weary of the threat that the Mumbai Indians bowlers possess. The memories of IPL Final 2020 would be fresh in the minds of Pant and his colleagues when Trent Boult dismantled the DC top-order. Mumbai Indians, with SRH have the best bowling line-up in this year’s IPL.

Both teams are coming off victories in their previous respective matches. Thus, not a lot of changes are expected to be seen in both teams. Although DC bowlers gave away too many runs against Punjab Kings. So, Pant would want to make some changes in that department. Nowadays, captains are wanting to open their innings with spin bowling. Rishabh Pant might include leg-spinner Amit Sharma- who has troubled Rohit Sharma in the past- and play a gamble of sorts.

The toss also holds the key. Delhi Capitals haven’t won a game at Chennai since 2010. Not a very happy hunting ground for the boys from Delhi.
