RCB's Victory Parade After Big IPL 2025 Win Cancelled In Bengaluru Today

RCB Victory Parade Cancelled: Royal Challengers Bengaluru finally broke the jinx and lifted the IPL trophy after defeating Preity Zinta's Punjab Kings after a long wait of 18 years.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru's victory parade after IPL 2025 win has been cancelled in Bengaluru after the city traffic police denied permission to hold the grand march. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru broke the jinx and lifted the IPL trophy after defeating Preity Zinta's Punjab Kings after a long wait of 18 years on Tuesday.

However, a felicitation ceremony for Virat Kohli's team will be held at the Vidhana Soudha as planned.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will honour the Rajat Patidar-led squad on the steps of the iconic Vidhana Soudha.

"I congratulate all the RCB team members, I also congratulate their fans. The whole country and the state is proud of them, RCB has never won the IPL, this is the eighteenth season and they have won and it has made me immensely happy," Siddaramaiah said.

Speaking to reporters here, he said, "At 4 pm, I will felicitate the team on the grand steps of Vidhana Soudha."

After the ceremony, the CM will personally congratulate each of the players. The entire program will last 45 minutes to 1 hour, Karnataka Home Minister said.

Bengaluru Traffic Police Advisory

The Bengaluru Traffic Police has asked commuters to avoid routes near Vidhana Soudha and the Chinnaswamy Stadium during the felicitation ceremony.

According to a traffic advisory from the Bengaluru police, entry to the event at the Chinnaswamy Stadium will be permitted only to those with valid tickets and passes.

"As there is limited parking facility available near the Chinnaswamy Stadium, those who are attending the event are advised to use public transport and Metro. The public is requested to cooperate," it stated.

On Tuesday, history unfolded as RCB won its maiden IPL match. The city began celebrations as soon as Josh Hazlewood finished delivering the final ball of the match. Bengaluru turned into a sea of roaring red and multi-coloured crackers, illuminating the night skyline. Fans stormed the streets chanting "RCB and Kohli".
