Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) on Tuesday locked horns against each other in a nail-biting thriller at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, in which Virat Kohli-led Bangalore defeated Delhi by just 1 run.

Keeping aside on-field rivalry, captain Kohli also showed support to Shimron Hetmyer despite the fact the Windies' hard-hitting batsman could have single-handedly won the game for his team.
"Siraj's final over gave us confidence and we thought he would manage a professional and clinical job. If there weren't fielding lapses it wasn't going to go this far anyway," RCB skipper Virat Kohli said in the post-match presentation.
Delhi Capitals needed 14 runs off 6 balls to win in the last over and Hetmyer and Pant were present at the crease but both these batsmen could only score 12 runs. Mohammad Siraj, who bowled the last over for RCB, conceded 12 runs. This was Delhi Capitals' second defeat this season and Bangalore's fifth win.
After put to bat first, Bangalore had a very poor start as they lost quick wickets. AB de Villiers steadied Bangalore's sinking ship and played a stormy innings of 75 runs off 42 balls to help his team post 171-run total.
