IPL 2021: David Warner Becomes First Player To Score 10,000 Runs, Smash 50th Fifty In IPL

IPL 2021 news: Apart from achieving so many good records, Warner also registered an unwanted record. The Hyderabad skipper completed his half-century runs off 50 balls in this match, which is the slowest half-century of his T20 career.

Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner is counted among the best batsmen of the world, especially in white-ball cricket.  Whichever team he plays for, anywhere across the globe, he ensures to score quick runs. With his charismatic batting style, Warner has attained many records in international cricket. Sunrisers Hyderabad faced three-time IPL winners Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday and in this match, not only Warner scored runs with his bat, but also made a unique record.

David Warner scored 57 runs in this match with the help of three fours and two sixes off 55 balls. He completed his fifty by hitting a six off Ravindra Jadeja's fifth ball off the 16th over to become the first-ever player to score 50 half-centuries in the IPL.

Warner also completed 10,000 runs in T20 cricket, becoming only the fourth batsman in the world to do so. Before the Australian great, Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard and Shoaib Malik achieved this feat.

In this innings, Warner hit two sixes and with this he completed 200 sixes in the IPL.  He has now hit 201 sixes in IPL after SRH vs MI match.  Warner is now the fourth overseas player to hit 200 sixes in the IPL.  Before him, Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, Kieron Pollard have hit 200 sixes in the IPL.

The Hyderabad skipper completed his half-century runs off 50 balls in this match, which is the slowest half-century of his T20 career.  Earlier in 2019, Warner had scored a half-century off 49 balls against Kings XI Punjab.
