IPL 2020 MI vs CSK: After six months of inactivity, Cricketers have made a stupendous come back on the pitch at the 13th edition of Indian Premier League with the opening match being held between two of the strongest IPL teams, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. The fierce rivals made energetic comeback in the first inning of the opener match at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
With CSK electing to bowl first after winning the first toss of IPL 2020, defending Mumbai Indians have set dramatic target of 163 runs in the first innings. The fielding team set a high enough bench mark in the opener match with some daring and fantastic catches while batsmen in Blue too contributed in setting up not-so-easy target.

Opening With Two Boundaries: The 13th Edition of IPL 2020 commenced with two fantastic shots to the fence by defending champions against the men in Blue in the firs over. Rohit Sharma entered the field with Quinton de Kock to face the ball served by Deepak Chahar. The opening ball didn't go in vain as Sharma cracked a punch with hitting a 'FOUR' followed by another boundary marked by de Kock. Undoubtedly a perfect start for the MI but so much for the Dhoni-led CSK and Chahar.
MI Struggled To Find Right Line Early On: The bowling team struggled early on against the Blue team with 18/0 in just 1.5 overs of the opener match in Abu Dhabi.
FIRST WICKET! Rohit Gone For 12 Off 10 Balls: Piyush Chawla's leg-spinner to Sharma gets the breakthrough for CSK after almost four overs. Chawla removed the Blue Captain for 33 and earned the first wicket for Chennai Supper Kings. MI stood with 47/1 in 4.4 overs against CSK after Rohit's exit.
SECOND WICKET! De Kock Removed By Sam: Sam Curran made a roar as he brought down de Kock with a slower delivery, Watson took a simple catch, bidding au revoir to a another men in blue.
Saurabh Tiwary Hits First Six of IPL 2020: Left-hand Batsman Saurabh Tiwary hit an elegant six against Ravindra Jadeja, followed by a couple and boundary. MI's score rushed to 75/2 in 8.3 overs against CSK.
THIRD WICKET! Chahar Takes Removes Suryakumar Yadav: After not so good start in the initial overs, Chahar finally earned his first wicket of the tournament by removing Suryakumar Yadav for 17 post halfway through. With third wicket down, MI's score card showed 92 runs in 11 overs with three wickets down.
Pandya's Remarking Entry With Two 6s: A remarkable inroduction by Hardik Pandya to the cricket buffs as he launches attack against Jadeja. In at 5, Pandya hit a six midwicket off his third ball, the biggest six of the day so far, followed by another off the next ball. Wow! 12 of just 4 balls.
Du Plessis Stunning Catches: Ravindra Jadeja won two big wickets after Faf du Plessis took fantastic catches on the ropes, forcing Saurabh Tiwary and Hardik Pandya to return to the pavilion. With this, MI lost 5 wickets with 126 runs in 15.1 overs.
Big Day For Ngidi Too: By the end of the first inning of the open match, Lungi Ngidi made a fantastic comback with taking away Pollard and James Pattinson's wickets.
The Saturday evening marking the start of the fresh season of the mega sporting event witnessed Q de Kock, R Sharma, S Yadav, S Tiwary, K Pandya, H Pandya, K Pollard, J Pattinson, R Chahar, T Boult and J Bumrah in Blue. Chennai Super Kings, led by the charismatic MS Dhoni comprised of Murali Vijay, Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, Ravi Jadeja, Deepak Chahar, Piyush Chawla along with four overseas players - Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, Lungi Ngidi and Sam Curran.
