New Delhi: Ahead of Indian team's 2-match Test series against New Zealand beginning Thursday, Indian High Commission in New Zealand hosted a reception for the team, which was attended by skipper Virat Kohli and all the other members of the team. The team met dignitaries at the reception. High Commissioner to New Zealand Muktesh Pardeshi gave a welcome speech in honour of the Indian cricketers. Addressing the event, skipper Virat Kohli said, "We are very honoured to be here invited by the High Commissioner. We want to thank you for that. Of all the tours that we have, coming to the Indian High Commission is a very special evening. Because we get to spend time with a lot of people from India, but we also get to meet a lot of people from a country that we are in." India will begin the much-anticipated Test series against New Zealand on Friday at the Basin Reserve in Wellington. The team will then play the 2nd and final Test of the 2-match series at Christchurch from February 29. Ahead of the Tests, both India and New Zealand locked horns in the limited-overs format. While India clean swept the Kiwis 5-0 in T20Is, the Kiwis made a resounding comeback and went to claim a whitewash over the Men In Blue in the 50-over format.
