IND Vs SL: The last of the three ODIs between India and Sri Lanka will be played today. The Indian team already has an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. Team India is expected to make many changes for the third ODI. Players who didn't get an opportunity to play might be included in India's Playing XI today. Two or three players out of Sanju Samson, Devdutt Paddikal, Varun Chakravarthy, and Ruturaj Gaikwad could make their ODI debut.
Prithvi Shaw is likely to be rested today. In place of Shaw, either Padikkal or Ruturaj Gaikwad might get a chance to make their debut.
Sanju Samson is likely to play the role of the wicket-keeper batsman in the third ODI. Samson was scheduled to play in the first ODI. But he was ruled out for two games due to injury. Sanju Samson will replace Ishan Kishan in the team.
Varun Chakravarthy might also get a chance!
Team India is also expected to make changes in the spin department. Either Kuldeep Yadav or Yuzvendra Chahal could be kept out of the playing XI. Varun Chakravarthy's debut for Team India is almost certain. Varun Chakravarthy is in Team India's T20 World Cup plans as well, so the management would definitely like to give him a chance in the last ODI.
In the second ODI, India's lower-order batsmen performed brilliantly. Deepak Chahar played a crucial knock, scoring an unbeaten 69 runs, to hand India a near-impossible win. Team India might today use Deepak Chahar at number seven in case of a difficult situation.
