India vs South Africa, 1st ODI Live Score: Match Abandoned Due To Rain In Dharamsala

Background

IND vs SA, 1st ODI: India will be locking horns with South Africa in the first of the 3-match ODI series at the HPCA Stadium In Dharamsala. The toss at Dharamsala has been delayed due to wet outfield.

The match will be the first ODI encounter between the two nations at the scenic ground nestled amid the Himalayas. India have come out winners in the last four out of the five encounters between the two cricketing nations.

India and South Africa come into the series on the back of contrasting fortunes in their most recent ODI engagements. While the Proteas swept Australia aside in the three-match ODI series at home - their first win in seven series across formats since the 2019 World Cup -- India were inflicted a crushing series whitewash by the same margin in their three ODIs against the Kane Williamson-led Kiwi side.

It has been an hour since the game had to start and the covers are still on. We could possibly lose quite a few overs which could result in a shortened match

It isn't raining, but the covers aren't been peeled off completely either. One on either side of the pitch stay firm. Super soppers still out and working relentlessly. But, unfortunately, it's getting dark again. We are also hearing that 6:30 pm is the cut-off time for a 20-over game. More on that once we get some confirmation
