India's stand-in skipper Jasprit Bumrah scored 29 runs off one over by Stuart Broad with help of a single, four fours and two sixes.

New Delhi: England's second most successful fast bowler in Test cricket, Stuart Broad registered an embarrassing record on Saturday in the fifth test match against India. The English paceman bowled the most expensive over in the history of Test cricket, conceding 35 runs in one over -- 29 runs by Bumrah and six extras. India's stand-in skipper scored 29 runs off one over by Stuart Broad with help of a single, four fours and two sixes.

On Day 2, England were looking to bundle out India pretty quickly after removing centurion Jadeja for 104. Team India were down to their last batting pair of Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah after Broad dismissed Mohammed Shami on to complete his 550 wickets in Test cricket.

What happened next was an absolute disaster for England and Broad. In the 84th over of the Indian innings, bowled by veteran Broad, Bumrah scored 35 runs. India's stand-in skipper had scored no runs off 7 balls when this over started but by the time this over ended, Bumrah had raced to 29 runs off just 14 deliveries. He now holds the record for bowling the most expensive over in both T20 and Test cricket.

Here's how the over panned out

83.2: Stuart Broad bowls a wide and ball crosses the boundary rope

83.2: Jasprit Bumrah hits a six and its a no ball
