New Delhi: For the Indian cricket team fans, August 16, 2021 has become a day to remember for the ages after Virat Kohli & Co. defied all odds to register a historic win over heavyweights England at the iconic Lord's stadium. After first hour of final day's play of the India vs England Lord's Test, it was pretty clear that India might possibly fail to set up a challenging target for England to chase but tail-enders Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami stitched up a record-breaking unbeaten 89-run partnership to put their team on top.
The fightback from Shami and Bumrah lifted the entire dressing room's spirit just when they had to come out to defend the total. The Indian bowlers bowled brilliantly and bundled up England for just 120 runs in less than 52 overs to win the Lord's Test by 151 runs.
Meanwhile, a video of Indian fans' wild celebrations on the streets of the United Kingdom (UK) post India's historic triumph has gone viral on social media.
