Overjoyed Indian Fans Groove To 'Saat Samundar' Post India's Historic Triumph At Lord's - Watch Video

Ind vs Eng: A video of Indian fans' wild celebrations on the streets of the United Kingdom (UK) post India's historic triumph at Lord's has gone viral on social media.

New Delhi: For the Indian cricket team fans, August 16, 2021 has become a day to remember for the ages after Virat Kohli & Co. defied all odds to register a historic win over heavyweights England at the iconic Lord's stadium. After first hour of final day's play of the India vs England Lord's Test, it was pretty clear that India might possibly fail to set up a challenging target for England to chase but tail-enders Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami stitched up a record-breaking unbeaten 89-run partnership to put their team on top.

The fightback from Shami and Bumrah lifted the entire dressing room's spirit just when they had to come out to defend the total. The Indian bowlers bowled brilliantly and bundled up England for just 120 runs in less than 52 overs to win the Lord's Test by 151 runs.

Meanwhile, a video of Indian fans' wild celebrations on the streets of the United Kingdom (UK) post India's historic triumph has gone viral on social media. In the video, Indian fans can be seen dancing to famous Bollywood song 'Saat Samundar Paar', while UK Police also requested the overjoyed crowd to not cause traffic jams by dancing in the middle of the road.

Talking about the high-octane Lord's Test, on the fifth and final day, England was dubbed as the favorite to win the 2nd Test as India had lost 6 wickets and led only by 154 runs in the second innings. However, after Shami-Bumrah's batting heroics, the hosts managed to declare their innings on 298/8.

Chasing 272 runs in 60 overs for the win, England batters perished in front of the lethal Indian bowlers and the hosts took a 1-0 lead in the five-match Test series.
