New Delhi: Team India was off to a flying start in the second T20 International against India after losing the toss in Birmingham. Batting first, Ravindra Jadeja's late blitz rescued India to help them post a respectable 170 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. For England, Richard Gleeson made his debut for England at the age of 34. He totally rattled India's top order in his debut T20 match itself. 

Richard Gleeson registered a special record with his remarkable bowling performance in his debut T20 match. The bowler bagged 3 wickets giving just 15 runs in his 4 overs, recording the best bowling figures in a T20 debut by an English bowler.

England's John Lewis, who took 4 wickets for 24 runs in his debut T20 International against Australia in 2005, earlier held this record. Darren Gough took 3 wickets for 16 runs against Australia in 2005 in his first T20I for England.

Richard Gleeson becomes the third-oldest player to debut for England 

Gleeson took wickets of Indian captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and then wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant in Ind vs Eng 2nd T20I. Rohit made 31 off 30 balls, Virat Kohli scored 1 off 3 balls and Pant scored 26 runs in 15 balls. Gleeson became the third-oldest player to debut for England. He played his debut match for England at the age of 34 years 219 days.
