New Delhi: Rohit Sharma-led team India on Friday defeated West Indies by 96 runs in the last match of the ODI series. India decided to bat first after winning the toss in the match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 

India scored 265 runs after losing all wickets in 50 overs. Shreyas Iyer top scored with 80, while Rishabh Pant scored a fighting 56.

In reply, the West Indies team was all out after scoring 169 runs in 37.1 overs. For the Windies, Odean Smith scored 36 runs in 18 balls and captain Nicholas Pooran scored 34 runs.

Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna took three wickets each for India. Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav and Deepak Chahar bagged two wickets each.

With one eye on the 2023 ODI World Cup, the Indian team management acquired bounty up-sides from their trials in the third-match series including the emergence of pacer Prasidh Krishna as the strike bowler. He finished with nine wickets in the series.
