IND vs NZ, 3rd T20I: Kohli Becomes India's Highest Run-Geter As T20I Skipper

Kohli went past MS Dhoni to become the highest run-getter as Indian captain in T2OIs.

New Delhi: India skipper Virat Kohli re-wrote the international cricket record books once again during the 3rd T2OI against New Zealand being played at the Seddon Park in Auckland. Kohli went past former India captain MS Dhoni's record run haul to become the highest run-getter as Indian captain in T2OIs.  At the start of the game, Kohli needed just 25 runs away from surpassing former skipper M.S. Dhoni to achieve the milestone. Kohli is currently at the third spot behind New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson (1148) and South Africa captain Faf du Plessis (1,273). The prolific run scorer is also one fifty plus score away from becoming the captain with most fifty plus scores in T20Is and is currently tied with du Plessis and Williamson with eight such knocks. India hammered the Black Caps by seven wickets in the second T20I match in Auckland on Sunday to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match rubber.
