Faf du Plessis Taken To Hospital For Tests After Colliding With Mohammad Hasnain During PSL 2021 Match

South Africa's legendary cricketer Faf du Plessis got injured on Saturday and had to be taken to the hospital as he suffered a collision with Mohammad Hasnain while trying to stop a boundary during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 match between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi on Saturday. In the match played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Peshawar Zalmi team came out to bat first against Quetta.
Faf got injured while fielding on the fourth ball of the seventh over of Peshawar's innings.

David Miller played a shot in the long-on direction. Faf and Hasnain ran towards the ball to complete the catch but Du Plessis's head hit Hasnain's knee and the concussed South African then fell on the ground. Later, Faf had to be taken to the hospital for further scans, as per Pakistan media reports.
As per the new ICC rules, a concussion substitute can be allowed for a player after he sustains a head injury. In such a situation, Saim Ayub replaced Faf du Plessis. In the match, Peshawar scored 197/5 in their allotted 20 overs. David Miller played a fiery knock by scoring 73 runs off just 46 balls with the help of 6 fours and 4 sixes.
Apart from him, Rovman Powell and wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal played a brilliant innings of 59 and 43 runs, respectively.
