Chinese Grand Prix 2024: Chinese Grand Prix is set to make a comeback to Shanghai, China, for the Formula One 2024 season after a five-year absence. The race, marking its 20th anniversary, will take place from April 19th to 21st, 2024, in Shanghai. The news brings joy to Chinese Formula One who have eagerly awaited the return of the thrilling racetrack experience. The last race held in Shanghai was back in 2019, but subsequent to that, China was sidelined as a calendar site due to the impact of COVID-19. 

The fifth race of the F1 2024 season will follow the Japanese Grand Prix, where Max Verstappen showcased his winning form. Prior to the main race, drivers will have the opportunity to participate in practice rounds to familiarize themselves with the track's twists and turns.

Chinese GP also marks the inaugural Sprint weekend of the season, kicking off a consecutive two-weekend Sprint series with ample points on offer. China's selection as a favored track for hosting the Sprint weekend stems from its potential for exciting overtaking opportunities, adding to the intrigue of the Sprint format.
