Yashasvi Jaiswal, who previously engaged in a verbal exchange with Australian opener Sam Konstas during the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, was seen sledging the 19-year-old again on January 4 (Saturday), during Australia’s first innings of the ongoing IND vs AUS Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Earlier in the series, Konstas had playfully taunted Jaiswal, pointing out his weaknesses on the field. In the fourth Test in Melbourne, Konstas was seen mocking the Indian opener. However, Jaiswal retaliated with a powerful drive that struck Konstas, who was stationed at silly point.
In a video shared by Star Sports on social media, Jaiswal, 23, sledges the right-handed batter mocking him in Hindi about why he wasn’t playing his shots.
“Kya ho gaya, ab shots nahi dikh rahe kya? Oye Konstas, shot nahi lag rahe kya abhi?" Jaiswal said.

Rohit Sharma Breaks Silence On Retirement Rumours
Rohit Sharma addressed retirement rumors after missing the 5th Test against Australia, clarifying that he stepped aside due to his poor form, prioritizing the team's needs. Despite reports suggesting he was dropped or retiring, Rohit confirmed he hasn’t retired and decided to make way for an in-form player after discussing it with coach Gautam Gambhir and chief selector Ajit Agarkar.
"I stood down. I will say one thing and it will have 50 interpretations by people on the outside. I had a chat with the coach and the selector was very plain and simple. I am not making runs at the moment. I am not in form and it's an important match. We need an in-form player. Our batting order isn't in form at the moment. So out of form players can't carry the team at the moment. So this was the simple thing in my mind. It was my understanding that I should tell the coach and the selector and they backed my call," Rohit said while making an appearance on Star Sports during Lunch on Day 2 of the IND vs AUS Sydney Test.
“Not thinking too far ahead, right now what the team needs is the priority. I made this decision after we came here (Sydney), it was going on in my mind that it is important for me to step aside because I wasn't getting runs with the bat,” Rohit said to Star Sports during Lunch on Day 2 of the IND vs AUS Sydney Test.
