During his conversation with India Today, Saha revealed that he had planned to continue playing for India for a few more years but was dropped as the team management had other plans.
"The team management decided not to keep me in the team. I had hoped to play for 2-3 more years, but unfortunately, they had different options. I had to focus on IPL and domestic cricket."

Wriddhiman Saha's contribution to Indian team
Looking back on his career, Saha emphasized his enjoyment of the game and his dedication to helping the team.
"I’ve enjoyed cricket all along. I tried to help everyone in the team. There were ups and downs, but I remember each moment."
Wriddhiman Saha's Take on His Captains
Having played under Sourav Ganguly, MS Dhoni, and Virat Kohli, Saha was asked to choose his favorite captain. He praised the qualities of each, saying:
"I’ve played a lot under Virat Kohli, and any player who plays under a captain will naturally appreciate him. Virat evolved as a captain over time. Dhoni was exceptional, and Dada (Sourav Ganguly) had a great ability to read the game. I admire all three captains."

"I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the BCCI, its presidents, secretaries, and all office bearers for their support throughout my career. A sincere thank you to all my coaches, mentors, physios, trainers, analysts, teammates, logistics teams, masseurs, and every support staff member of the Indian Cricket Team, Bengal Cricket Team, Tripura Cricket Team, and all the clubs, districts, universities, and school teams I had the privilege of representing. Your faith in me and your constant encouragement have meant the world. I am deeply thankful to the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and the Tripura Cricket Association (TCA) for their trust and support throughout my career...," he added.
