WPL 2024 player auction Live Updates: The eagerly anticipated Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 Player Auction is set to commence at 2 PM IST in Mumbai on Saturday. A total of 165 cricketers will be part of Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023 Auction in Mumbai, with 104 being Indian players and 61 hailing from foreign soil. Additionally, 15 players from Associate Nations have expressed their interest in the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023 player auction.

The five teams -- Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Royal Challengers Bangalore and UP Warriorz -- are looking to fill 30 slots, with nine reserved for overseas players, refine their strategies in preparation for the upcoming Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 Auction. Notably, Deandra Dottin from West Indies and Kim Garth from Australia have been positioned at the highest base price of Rs 50 lakh. Australian all-rounders  Georgia Wareham and Annabel Sutherland, both participants in inaugural Women's Premier League (WPL), are listed with a base price of Rs 40 lakh for the upcoming Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 edition.

Four players find themselves in the 40 Lakhs bracket during the auction. The auction pool comprises a total of 56 capped players and 109 uncapped players.

The upcoming Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 Auction is  anticipated to take place in February-March, preceding the IPL. Unlike the inaugural Women's Premier League (WPL) edition, which occurred only in Mumbai, Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 auction will reportedly be hosted in Mumbai and Bangalore.
