JP Nadda's Advise To BJP Aspirants Denied Tickets For Delhi Polls: 'Don't Commit The Mistake Of...'
The BJP chief advised party leaders to try and bring the central government schemes at grassroot level. He further expressed confidence that the BJP will win the Delhi Assembly elections in 2025.
Bharatiya Janata Party president J.P. Nadda on Thursday chaired an election committee meeting at the party's office in Delhi ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in the national capital. During the meeting, Nadda advised the BJP leaders to avoid making the mistake of contesting elections as an Independent under anybody's influence in case one does not get a ticket.
"Do not make the mistake of contesting elections as an independent candidate under the influence of anyone if you don’t get a ticket," he said.
The meeting was aimed at taking stock of the poll preparations of the BJP's Delhi unit and to review the direction of the campaigning so for along with ground level feedback.
He asserted, "We must fight together as one", adding that such a move would neight benefit the party or the leader.
Nadda also asked the BJP leaders to focus on bringing new people on board as party members and to build trust among the public by coordinating with leaders at both booth and central level.

The saffron party has formed over 45 election committees to handle various works related to campaigning and other related activities. According to news agency ANI, the BJP will conduct its second meeting to discuss poll strategy, where all election management committee departments will participate in deliberations.
The BJP has so far announced candidates for 29 of the 70 constituencies and is likely to announce the remaining candidates for 41 seats by this weekend. Even as the ruling AAP and Congress have announced their poll promises, the BJP is yet to share its manifesto.
A senior Delhi BJP leader told news agecy PTI that the party's manifesto was almost prepared and will be sent for approval of the national leadership. "It was likely to be announced in next few days," he said on Wednesday.
The Election Commission announced that elections for 70 member Delhi Assembly will be held on February 5. Counting of votes will be held on February 8.
The Aam Aadmi Party has been winning the Delhi elections for the past two terms with a massive margin of 67 and 62 seats out of 70. As it is seeking a hat-trick, it is facing a stiff competition from the BJP and the Congress. While the BJP managed to win eight seats in the 2020 Delhi polls, Congress failed to open its account, despite being in power for 15 consecutive years in the national capital.
