Won't Be Surprising If Pakistan Win T20 World Cup This Year: Shoaib Akhtar After Pak's T20 Win
ENG VS PAK: "When it comes to T20, England must realise that Pakistan is a great T20 team. No one is better than Pakistan, not India, not Afghanistan," said Shoaib Akhtar after Pakistan won 1st T20I.
Karachi: Pakistan defeated England in the 1st T20I by 31 runs. They posed a mammoth total of 232 runs in 20 overs in the first innings and bowled out England for 201 runs. It was a great comeback after a 3-0 ODI series whitewash against England. Veteran pacer, Shoaib Akhtar has come out and said that Pakistan has the "best T20 team in the world". Having said that, Shoaib also agreed that Pakistan's team lacks the vigour to play the 50-over format.
"I live in a place called Morgah and England's captain is Morgan. Yesterday, Pakistan's team sent Morgan to Morgah," Akhtar said in his latest Youtube video.
Pakistan team nay Morgan ko Morgah tak pahunchaya hai. Well done team Pakistan. Our T20 team is rock solid.

"England's team is underestimating Pakistan team and perhaps they do not understand that Pakistan's T20 team is one of the best in the world!" - Akhtar added.
The Pakistani pacer even went on to say that Pakistan has the best T20 team and thy have a great chance of winning the T20 World Cup later this year. "One more thing - If Pakistan wins the World Cup this year (T20 WC), then it should not surprise anyone. But even if they manage to win the World Cup, are they going in the right direction? No, they aren't. T20 is not our aim and it shouldn't be our aim as well," Akhtar said.
"So what did Pakistan do differently in T20 that they performed so well? The difference was just in the attitude. The problem with Pakistan is that they cannot play 50 overs. They have the talent but they simply can't play 50 overs. Can't rotate the strike," Akhtar said as he pointed out flaws in the Pakistan team.
"When it comes to T20, England must realise that Pakistan is a great T20 team. No one is better than Pakistan, not India, not Afghanistan," Shoaib Akhtar said.
