WATCH: Shikhar Dhawan spotted at India's net sessions at Trent Bridge

Shikhar Dhawan, who sustained a hairline fracture on his left thumb, was spotted at Trent Bridge ahead of the clash against New Zealand

The Indian cricket team arrived Nottingham for their third ICC Cricket World Cup fixture against New Zealand. However, the continuous drizzling hasn’t permitted them to go train properly. After cancelling the net sessions on Tuesday, the men-in-blue finally, managed to hit the ground on Wednesday under overcast conditions. Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan, who sustained a hairline fracture on his left thumb, was spotted at the ground. He roamed around the field, watched his teammates practice but didn’t participate in the net sessions. He was seen having a conversation with the member of Indian selection committee, Sarandeep Singh. Here’s the video: Dhawan will miss three to four games due to the hairline fracture on his left thumb. On the other hand, young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was Wednesday brought in as cover for the injured Shikhar Dhawan in India's World Cup squad but won't get access to the dressing room till the time the senior opener is not completely ruled out. Pant, whose omission from the original squad became a topic of heated debates given his stupendous form in the past one year, will join the side in Manchester ahead of the marquee clash against Pakistan on Sunday.
