WATCH: Mashrafe Mortaza takes a stunner to break Pakistan's backbone

The incident happened in the 21st over when Pakistan were at 85/3. Malik drove the ball towards midwicket region but Mortaza made a supernatural dive to pluck the ball from thin air

Bangladesh yet again throttled a top ODI side in a major tournament and left the cricketing fans stunned. They outclassed Pakistan on Wednesday in the last match of Asia Cup's Super 4 round and cruised into the finals. Though Mushfiqur Rahim and Mustafizur Rahman played a major role in knocking out Pakistan, skipper Mashrafe Mortaza’s crucial cameo helped the Tigers getting rid of experienced and dangerous Shoaib Malik.

After the quick collapse of the top-order, Malik took the onus on his shoulders once again. He had just gained the momentum that Bangla speedster Rubel Hossain hunted him down with a major help from the skipper.

The incident happened in the 21st over when Pakistan were at 85/3. Malik drove the ball towards midwicket region but Mortaza made a supernatural dive to pluck the ball from thin air. The Tigers shouted out loud in joy while Malik and the entire Pakistani unit were shocked.

Here’s the video:

The departure of Malik completely changed the face of the game for Pakistan. The veteran batsman has been playing key knocks for his team in the tournament so far but he failed to repeat it when it was majorly needed.

Imam ul Haq remained the highest scorer from the side. His 83-run knock went in vain as there was no support shown from lower middle order batsmen. Pakistan fell short by 37 runs and handed over the victory to Bangladesh.
