WATCH | ICC Tweets Yuvi's 6 Sixes In One Over Exploit On Yuvraj Singh 38th Birthday

The International Cricket Council took the lead in wishing Yuvraj by tweeting the video of his much acclaimed six sixes off Stuart Broad's over in the 2007 World T20 with a simple caption reading “Happy Birthday”.

Former Indian batting great and India's 2011 World Cup Hero Yuvraj Singh turned 38 on Thursday. Birthday wishes poured in from all quarters in the cricketing fraternity for the champion cricket, who had bid adieu to international cricket in 2019. The International Cricket Council took the lead in wishing Yuvraj by tweeting the video of his much acclaimed six sixes off Stuart Broad's over in the 2007 World T20 with a simple caption reading “Happy Birthday”. Besides the ICC, Yuvraj's former Indian team-mates also wished the ODI great on his 38th B'day. Among those who extended their greetings were cricketer turned politician Gautam Gambhir, hard hitting batsman Suresh Raina and left arm seamer RP Singh. “A true champion and an inspiration to many, here’s wishing @YUVSTRONG12 a very happy birthday,” the Board of Control for Cricket in India tweeted. The highlight of Yuvraj's stellar career was when he took on England's Stuart Broad and tonked six consecutive sixes in one over. That over is still fresh in every cricket fan’s memory when the left-hander stamped himself all over the inaugural World T20 in 2007. India went on to win that match and then defeated Australia and Pakistan in the semi-final and final respectively to clinch the title. Yuvraj is best remembered for playing a stellar role in India's World Cup winning campaign in 2011 with his all-round heroics. He was known to raise the bar of his game in multi-nation ICC tournaments. In a glittering career spanning over 15 years, Yuvraj Singh represented in 304 ODI and 40 Tests, besides featuring in 58 T2O internationals for the 'Men in Blue'. The belligerent strokemaker amassed runs 8701 ODIs laced with 14 tons and 52 half centuries.
