The right-handed batter and former India captain has been a run-machine for over a decade in international cricket. What makes him a champion cricketer is the fact that slumps in his long career have been rare and comebacks have been greater than setbacks. No wonder the 34-year-old has a massive fan following around the world and there was yet another evidence of the same when he was entering into the R Premadasa Stadium for the IND vs SL Asia Cup 2023 final.

Talking about Kohli, he was in sensational form during India's match against Pakistan as he scored 122 runs off 94 deliveries. With India already assured of a place in the final, the Men in Blue rested him among other players for the Super Fours fixture against Bangladesh. Despite being rested for the match against Bangladesh, both Kohli and Hardik Pandya were seen gearing up for a practice session.

It was in this match that Kohli was seen serving drinks to his teammates which led to a lot of reactions on social media. Kohli's animated act as he served as the waterboy also became a massive talking point. The fastest man to reach 13 thousand international runs would now look to register a similar score in the summit clash in the final, the start of play has been delayed due to drizzle just around the toss time. Sri Lanka have won the toss and elected to bat first in this clash between the two of the most successful sides in the history of the tournament.
