New Delhi: The next three months are expected to be extremely busy for the players of the Indian cricket team. Team India is scheduled to play the World Cup soon after the completion of the IPL. The BCCI, however, has prepared a special preparation plan for the World Cup. According to reports, Team India is scheduled to play two practice matches just before the World Cup.
The T20 World Cup is set to begin in the UAE on October 18. Team India players will be free from IPL after it ends on October 15. The BCCI has planned two practice matches in an attempt to unite the players. According to Inside Sports, BCCI may host two practice matches against England and Australia.
A top level BCCI official has confirmed about these practice matches. He said, "Two practice matches will be played before the World Cup. We can't give more details about it yet. Practice matches could be organized on October 18 and October 20. A public announcement would soon be made on this."
Inside Sports has claimed that Team India would be playing a practice match against England in Dubai at 7.30pm on October 18. The second practice match will be played against Australia in Dubai on October 20 at 3.30pm. These matches would be telecast live on Star Sports network.
Team India's would begin their performance in the T20 World Cup on October 23, where they would be facing Pakistan in their first match.
