Arshdeep ended up picking 17 wickets alongside Afghanistan's Fazalhaq Farooqi, making him the joint-highest wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup 2024.

"I want to play all formats but at the moment I just want to enjoy the moment and spend time with my family," Arshdeep told PTI Videos.

"I am feeling very happy. I thank everyone for giving me so much love," added Arshdeep.

Almost all the players were seen with tears of joy on India's historic victory in the T20 World Cup 2024 final. The Men in Blue had consistently performed well in every ICC tournament but somehow previously missed out on the title.

When Rohit Sharma-led India made history in Barbados, almost everyone had tears in their eyes, except one player—Arshdeep Singh, who has now revealed why he didn't shed tears at that moment.

In an exclusive interview with The Indian Express, Arshdeep Singh said: I was very happy. In the IPL, I have played so many nerve-wracking matches for Punjab Kings that I don’t have any emotions left. I tried hard but just was not able to cry. I watched the legends of the game… Rohit bhai, Virat bhai, who have achieved so much… they just couldn’t control their emotions. I was happy for them. But I don’t know why I didn’t shed a tear.
