For his antics, QDK was awarded Player of the match, and here's what he said during post-match presentation ceremony:
"Ah... Sure! Yeah, I mean, it is nice to get my opportunity and make it count. (On his early retirement and post-retirement challenges) To be fair, I haven't found any challenges yet. I got three weeks off before Christmas. It was good to get ten days in the camp before the tournament. Also, I had a few practice games."
"It is only my second game here. Luckily, we batted second tonight. I am a keeper. I can see what the ball does if we bowl first. I can adapt accordingly and play according to the situation. I know the IPL is known for big scores, but I just tried to win the game for us."
"Nothing, to be honest. I love meeting new guys and new environments. There weren't any challengers. It was about finding my feet in a new environment. Sometimes the team accepts you later, but here with KKR, they have accepted me already with open arms, so it feels good. They made it really easy for me."
"Not at all. Like as I said earlier, it is not a wicket for that type of cricket (On net run rate conversation). It was stopping, turning a bit. Not a flat wicket, which you get here in IPL. It was a working man's wicket. If we get an opportunity at a better wicket, then surely that will be a chat, but today it was all about getting down and winning it."
