T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 Points Table: In match number 46 of ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Super-8 stage, West Indies secured a commanding win over co-hosts USA at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown in Barbados on Saturday (June 22). Led by captain Rovman Powell, West Indies defeated USA by a massive margin of 9 wickets.

This was USA's second loss in Super 8s and now they won't qualify for the semifinals.

Opening batsman Shai Hope was the star performer, scoring 82 runs off just 39 balls, including four boundaries and eight sixes. Hope's fiery innings propelled the Caribbean team to chase down the target of 129 runs in mere 10.5 overs.

West Indies won the toss and opted to bowl first. USA were off to a poor start as they lost early wickets. Andre Russell struck early, dismissing Steven Taylor (2) in the second over. Andries Goos top-scored with 29 runs off 16 balls, while Nitish Kumar contributed 20 runs off 19 balls, the highest for USA in their innings.

Middle order batters Milind Kumar and Shadley Van contributed with 19 and 18 runs, respectively. Towards the end, Ali Khan added 14 runs off just 6 balls which helped USA reach 128 runs for the loss of all 10 wickets, with one ball remaining in their innings.

'Player of the match' Roston Chase starred for West Indies, taking 3 wickets while conceding only 19 runs. Andre Russell claimed 3 wickets, while Alzarri Joseph took 2 wickets and Motie chipped in with 1 wicket for Windies.
