Sehwag, Gambhir express grief over Sheila Dikshit's demise

Former India cricketers Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir expressed their condolences on the death of former Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit

Senior Congress leader Sheila Dikshit passed away on Saturday. She was 83. Dikshit served as the chief minister of Delhi for a period of 15 years from 1998 to 2013. India legendary batsman Virender Sehwag and cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir expressed their condolences on the death of former Delhi Chief Minister. The former cricketers took to Twitter to express how deeply saddened they were by the news. It is reported that Dikshit was keeping unwell for past few months and earlier today, she was admitted to Escorts Hospital in Delhi. Congress party through their Twitter handle informed- We regret to hear of the passing of Smt Sheila Dikshit. Lifelong congresswoman and as three time CM of Delhi she transformed the face of Delhi. Our condolences to her family and friends. Hope they find strength in this time of grief. To news agency ANI, Dr Ashok Seth, Director, Escorts Fortis said - Sheila Dikshit was managed well by a team of doctors. At 3:15 pm she again suffered a cardiac arrest. She was put on ventilator and at 3:55 pm she passed away peacefully.
