IND vs ENG 3rd Test: Sarfaraz Khan Speaks On Jadeja's Horrible Call That Led To Debutant's Run Out On Day 1
Sarfaraz Khan reveals the dressing room conversation with Ravindra Jadeja after the horrible run-out incident on Day 1 of the IND vs ENG 3rd Test in Rajkot.
Sarfaraz Khan commenced his Test debut with a memorable innings but had to conclude it on a forgettable note after being run out for a well-made 62. He achieved the joint second-fastest century in Tests on debut during the 3rd IND vs ENG Test in Rajkot on February 15 (Thursday). Unfortunately, his innings was cut short when he was involved in a mix-up with Indian star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, leading to Sarfaraz's run-out.
Sarfaraz Khan, renowned for his aggressive batting style, displayed his attacking intent by consistently dispatching the English bowlers all around the Rajkot Stadium. He played with confidence, adeptly finding gaps, punishing loose deliveries, and swiftly reaching his fifty in just 48 balls. However, an unfortunate event unfolded in the 82nd over when Jadeja, batting on 99, attempted a quick single. Despite calling for it, he then sent his partner, Sarfaraz, back at the non-striker's end, resulting in Sarfaraz being run out with a direct throw from Mark Wood. The dismissal was unfortunate, leaving the batsman visibly disappointed.
