Following India's emphatic win over Sri Lanka in the final by 10 wickets and 263 balls remaining, Team India returned home in the wee hours on Monday (September 18).
India had a dream run in the Asia Cup 2023 as they went on to claim their eighth title. Rohit Sharma lifted the trophy for the second time as captain after leading the Men in Blue to the continental tournament even in 2018. Following India's emphatic win over Sri Lanka in the final by 10 wickets and 263 balls remaining, Team India returned home in the wee hours on Monday (September 18). Soon after, Rohit was spotted driving his home on their way to Mercedes.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, the cricketer can be seen getting out of his car and posing for photos for his fans and paparazzi. In the viral clip, even a few police officials were seen getting clicked with the star India batter who has been rested for the first two ODIs for the home series against Australia.

Talking about India's series against Australia, the first of the three-match affair will be played at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on September 22. The action will then shift to Indore which will host the second match on September 24. With the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya rested for the first two ODIs in this series, KL Rahul has been named the captain.

For the final ODI at the Saurastra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot, Rohit Sharma will return as the captain. The team will then play their ICC World Cup warm-up fixtures before beginning their World Cup campaign against Australia at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai.
