Road Safety World Series: Irfan Pathan Gets His ‘Age Is Just A Number’ Tweet Right!
After picking up two wickets and scoring 61 of 34 balls against England Legends, Pathan has proved his old tweet to be true. He had written “Age is just a number”.
Road Safety World Series T20 is underway and cricket fans cannot get enough of their favorite cricketers. In a closely fought match between India Legends and England Legends, England Legends prevailed but only after facing an onslaught from ex-India all-rounder Irfan Pathan. Pathan scored a blistering knock of 61 of just 34 balls. Early in the first innings, Pathan also picked up two wickets for 28 runs.
India were chasing a target of 189 from 20 overs after Kevin Pietersen played a quick-fire knock of 75 of 37 balls. Pragyan Ojha, Manpreet Gony and Munaf Patel all went for runs, but Pathan restricted the England Legends by his figures of 2/28 in four overs. While chasing, all the India Legends batsmen failed to score more than 25 runs. Pathan was the highest run getter for India. His innings of 61 gave some hope to the Indian chase towards the later part of the innings.
By playing such a knock, Irfan has proved his old tweet right. He had written: “Age is just a number for some and for others a reason to be dropped...”

Netizens sensed that the tweet was aimed at former India captain MS Dhoni after a dismal performance by his side CSK in the IPL 2020.
Nonetheless, Pathan with his all-round performance has proved that at least for him ‘Age is just a number’.
