Punjab's Power-Hitter Smashes Century In 35 Balls, Breaks Yusuf Pathan's 14-Year-Old Record

Anmolpreet Singh's explosive innings of 115* runs off 45 balls included 12 fours and 9 sixes, making it the third-fastest List-A century in cricket history.

Punjab's explosive batter Anmolpreet Singh made history in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 by scoring the fastest century by an Indian in List-A cricket, achieving the milestone in just 35 balls against Arunachal Pradesh. This record-breaking knock surpassed Yusuf Pathan's previous record of 40 balls, set in 2010 for Baroda against Maharashtra.

Anmolpreet's explosive innings of 115* runs off 45 balls included 12 fours and 9 sixes, making it the third-fastest List-A century in cricket history. He now trails only Australia's Jack Fraser-McGurk (29 balls) and South Africa's AB de Villiers (31 balls).

Who is Anmolpreet Singh?

Indian cricketer Anmolpreet Singh, born on March 28, 1998, represents Punjab in domestic cricket. He is yet to make his debut for the Indian cricket team. Apart from domestic cricket, Anmolpreet has also played in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He made his IPL debut in 2021 against CSK. In the 2023 IPL edition, Sunrisers Hyderabad acquired him for Rs 20 lakh. However, he went unsold in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction.
