New Zealand and Pakistan are involved in a limited-overs series in New Zealand. Currently, facing each other in the five-match T20I series, NZ and PAK are set to take on each other in three ODIs as well. The T20I series lacked key players such as Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Daryl Mitchell and Babar Azam, but they will be available for the ODI series. Notably, with the fifth NZ vs PAK ongoing, New Zealand have already clinched the series as they lead by 3-1.

Several key New Zealand players will miss the ODI series against Pakistan due to IPL commitments. Kane Williamson opted out, while Tom Latham will captain in Mitchell Santner’s absence. Matt Henry is sidelined with a shoulder injury from the 2025 Champions Trophy semifinal and Kyle Jamieson has been rested for workload management.
