BCCI Announces MPL Sports As Official Kit Sponsor For Indian Cricket Team

BCCI Announces partnership with MPL Sports: The Indian cricket team that will tour Australia will only be seen in the new jersey designed by India MPL. Prior to MPL, Nike, a sports goods manufacturer, had this right.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced on Tuesday that e-sports platform MPL Sports has been made a new kit sponsor and official business partner for the Indian cricket team. MPL Sports has signed a three-year agreement with BCCI. The agreement will last from November 2020 to December 2023. It will begin with the upcoming India tour of Australia, where the Indian cricket team led by Virat Kohli will be seen in new jersey.

Here's What BCCI Boss Sourav Ganguly Had To Say Regarding The MPL Sports Deal 

"We are very happy to announce that this is the beginning of a new era for Indian cricket," the BCCI said in a press release quoting Chairman Sourav Ganguly. "MPL Sports has been appointed as a kit sponsor for the Indian men and women team till December 2023. Our focus is on MPL Sports, which will add a new chapter to the team kit. MPL Sports will be the official trade partner of BCCI, with access to millions of fans cheering Team India."

BCCI Secretary Jai Shah said, "This partnership will take us on a new path for Sports India and sports business in the country. We are focusing on working with brands like Young MPS Sports, which have shown potential. This partnership has been done with the objective that Indian cricket fans can take the business to a higher level. The jersey fans of the Indian cricket team could reach not just India but also globally."

Will Team India Wear New Jersey During India Tour Of Australia?

Apart from the jerseys of the Indian team, MPL Sports will also be authorized to sell the goods of Team India. Apart from the MPL jersey, different items of the India cricket team will be delivered to the fans. Abhishek Madhavan, MPL Sports and Pragati and Marketing Senior Vice President, MPL, said, "We will be able to reach all kinds of goods of the Indian team by pairing closely with BCCI. It is a matter of great pride for us to be associated with the Indian cricket team and we want every fan of the country to feel the same."
