IND vs ENG, India Playing 11: England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and decided to field first in Pune in ther first ODI between India and England. Krunal Pandya and Prasidh Krishna make their debut in ODI cricket. It is one of the many tosses which Virat Kohli has lost in the recent past.
India and England will clash in the 1st ODI of the PayTM ODI Series 2021 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Maharashtra’s Pune on Tuesday. With Virat Kohli back in form and other youngsters like Prasidh in the squad, team India would be confident going in the game. Both the teams are playing without some key players. England will miss Captain Joe Root and Jofra Archer due to injury while Indian side will be without Shami, Jadeja and Bumrah.
It was a good toss to win for Eoin Morgan as Pune's stadium has a reputation of big totals being chased down. But Virat Kohli wasn't unhappy at the toss as he would have decided to bat first as said by the captain during the toss.
The weather conditions are slightly cloudy, but the chances of rain are very low. Although, the overhead conditions will help the fast-bowlers with the new ball.
