IPL 2025: Top Players Delhi Capitals Are Likely To Target In Auction

Here's a look at some players Delhi Capitals (DC) might target to strengthen their squad ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Auction.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Auction will take place on November 24 and 25 in Saudi Arabia's Jeddah, and franchises are busy strategizing for the big event. While Delhi Capitals (DC) have retained four players (Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, uncapped Abishek Porel and Tristan Stubbs), their captain, Rishabh Pant, is not among them.

This means that DC will need to find a new captain at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Auction. Here's a look at some players the franchise might target to strengthen their squad ahead of IPL 2025.

Delhi Capitals can target these top players in IPL 2025 mega auction:

Sam Curran: Released by Punjab Kings, England's Sam Curran had an underwhelming performance in IPL 2024. However, as an all-rounder, he still holds value, and Delhi Capitals might decide to acquire him in IPL 2025 auction.

Jos Buttler: Delhi Capitals could target Jos Buttler in IPL 2025 Mega Auction, as franchise seeks a reliable wicketkeeper-batter and a new captain. Buttler, known for his explosive batting, also brings valuable wicketkeeping skills. In this year's IPL, he scored 359 runs in 11 matches at a strike rate of 140.78, though he was released by Rajasthan Royals.

Shreyas Iyer: Delhi Capitals are expected to target Shreyas Iyer in IPL 2025 Mega Auction. With Iyer leading Kolkata Knight Riders to victory in IPL 2024, DC may see an opportunity to strengthen their squad with this star player.

Venkatesh Iyer: Kolkata Knight Riders released Venkatesh Iyer, and Delhi Capitals might look to acquire this versatile all-rounder in IPL 2025 Mega Auction. Iyer was in great form during this year's IPL, scoring 370 runs in 13 matches at an average of 46.25. He can also be used as a part-time bowler, giving DC added depth.

Harshal Patel: Although Harshal Patel was the highest wicket-taker in this year's IPL, claiming 24 wickets in 14 matches, Punjab Kings chose to release him. Delhi Capitals could now look to acquire the pacer in IPL 2025 Mega Auction to strengthen their bowling lineup.
