Trent Boult, the in-form new-ball bowler of the tournament, removed Marcus Stoinis with the first ball in the final match of the ongoing Indian Premier League being played between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai (UAE) on Tuesday.
Marcus Stoinis and Shikhar Dhawan flagged off their campaign facing Trent Boult with the new ball. The New Zealand bowler poured at length removing The Hulk, Marcus Stoinis for a duck with a jaffa.
It is worth mentioning that Boult has as many as 14 wickets in his kitty from the PowerPlay overs. Facing the Delhi Brigade earlier this season, Boult removed Prtihvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane in the first over to leave Delhi reeling at 0/2.
Stoinis on the hand had hit 65 against Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 1 and 38 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2 of the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League 2020.

A total of 27 matches have been played in the IPL between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals so far. Out of these, 15 times Mumbai and 12 times Delhi team have been successful in winning the game. This year, three matches have been played between these two teams, including the IPL 2020 Qualifier 1, and Mumbai has defeated Delhi on all three times. Delhi Capitals last attained a win over heavyweights Mumbai Indians in the previous season.
