India Vs South Africa T20 World Cup 2024 Final: Rohit Sharma's Men Are WORLD CUP CHAMPIONS!

India Vs South Africa T20 World Cup 2024 Final: A first ever World title for Rohit Sharma as INDIA ARE WORLD T20 CHAMPIONS. Here are the details.

India Vs South Africa T20 World Cup 2024 Final: India and South Africa played out a final to be remembered for ages, as Rohit Sharma's men win the T20 World Cup 2024. The 'Men in Blue' managed to grab a win out of the jaws of defeat, as they managed to register a 6-run when the Proteas needed 26 off 24.

Technically, it was 30 off 30 needed but with Bumrah bowling the 16th over, the 26 off 24 meant that Bumrah would've only 1 over left to bowl. This defence of target in the death overs showed the world the depth in the fast bowling of the Indian department, as Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh nailed in their deliveries to deliver the silverware for India, as they now end their 11-year wait for an ICC title.

India join West Indies and England as the multiple winners of the T20 World Cup, and with the win, Rohit Sharma becomes the 7th consecutive skipper to win the toss and the match in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024.

After hitting a huge roadblock at the start of the 1st innings, India managed to recover superbly and the 2nd innings was all about the brilliance of India bowling, as they can now celebrate, a 4th World Cup title.

Here's How The 2nd Innings Panned Out

India put their foot on the accelerator, as South Africa were restricted to 12/2 inside 2.3 overs, as the Proteas batters had no answer to the wrath of Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh. Reeza Hendricks and Aiden Markram went back to the pavilion and the pressure was now on the shoulders of Quinton De Kock and Tristan Stubbs.

The duo carried the responsibility pretty well, as they registered an important 58-run stand for the third wicket in 38 balls, until a reckless sweep attempt from Tristan Stubbs created an opening for Axar Patel, as the former got bowled out.

This followed up with another partnership, as Heinrich Klassen and Quinton De Kock registered a 36-run partnership, before the latter's dismissal off Arshdeep Singh at fine leg region.

What followed later was pure mayhem as the brute force of Heinrich Klassen thumped Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav for 38 runs in 2 overs and everyone assumed that it was game over for India, until the 16th over, as overs 16-18 produced merely 10 runs and 2 wickets.

Arshdeep Singh had the task of bowling the most important over of the game — the penultimate over, which he did so superbly.

Hardik Pandya defended 16 runs in the final over, as INDIA ARE NOW WORLD T20 CHAMPIONS!
