However, Asia Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi has now shared an official update about the event. The 2025 edition of the Asia Cup will be conducted in T20 format.

Where and When Will Asia Cup 2025 Take Place?

Taking to social media, Asia Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi announced that the Asia Cup 2025 will be hosted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He also declared the tournament dates. The competition is scheduled to begin on 9 September 2025, while the final match will be played on 28 September.

Additionally, Naqvi mentioned that the complete and detailed schedule will be announced soon.

When is India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 Clash?

As per a report by Cricbuzz, India and Pakistan are grouped together for the 2025 Asia Cup tournament.

If both teams advance successfully, fans might witness three encounters between the two arch-rivals, including a possible final. Moreover, it is being speculated that the India vs Pakistan league match will take place on 14 September 2025.

8 Teams Confirmed for Asia Cup

Post the ACC meeting in Dhaka, reports confirmed that a total of eight teams will feature in the Asia Cup 2025. These include India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Oman, and UAE.

As per the Asia Cup 2025 format, the eight teams will be split into two groups. The final schedule and match venues are expected to be announced within the next 24 to 48 hours.
