The ninth edition of ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 is set to begin in just a few days. Initially scheduled to be held in Bangladesh, the tournament was relocated to UAE. The 10-team event will now take place in Sharjah and Dubai.

The India women's cricket team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur and supported by deputy Smriti Mandhana, will play two warm-up matches before launching their tournament campaign.

India has played just seven T20Is this year, winning four and losing three. In the last three editions, the team has reached the semifinals twice and finished as runners-up once.

The Women in Blue will face West Indies on September 29 and South Africa on October 1. India has been placed in Group A, alongside Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
