IND vs WI, 2nd ODI, Toss: Unchanged India Opt To Bat; West Indies make 1 Major Change

Team India takes the field with an unchanged Playing XI. West Indies have got one change - Unfit Fabian Allen has been replaced by Oshane Thomas

After rain playing spoilsport in the first ODI of the three-game series in Guyana, India and West Indies have moved to the Queen's Park Oval for the second game and both teams will be looking to start on the attack after a washed-out opening game. For India, it will be about starting afresh after a disappointing loss in the semi-final of the 2019 World Cup. The batting looks solid at the top with Shikhar Dhawan coming back to join Rohit Sharma and skipper Virat Kohli will once again get to play freely at the no.3 position as he doesn't need to worry about building the innings. For West Indies, after the loss in the T20I series, it will all be about playing for pride as they are considered a better outfit in the limited-overs format. Also, with Gayle playing his last series for the Windies should add to the motivation factor for the hosts. Toss Update: Indian skipper Virat Kohli has won the toss once again and they will be batting first. The men-in-blue will be taking the field with an unchanged XI. “We will bat first, historically pitch slows down in the second innings. The nature of the pitch makes us bat first. We want to execute our skills in the middle. It doesn't matter for us whether it is a two-match series or a three-match series. We are unchanged. Rishabh will bat at four and Shreyas Iyer will bat at five,” said Kohli at the toss. West Indies, on the other hand, have made one change to the side. Unfit Fabian Allen has been replaced by Oshane Thomas. “Hopefully, there will be a bit of moisture on this pitch. We have one forced change in our team. Fabian Allen is unfit, Oshane Thomas comes in his place. It is a big match for Chris Gayle, I would like to congratulate Gayle for playing his 300th ODI game,” said skipper Jason Holder. Here are the teams: India: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli(c), Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant(w), Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, K Khaleel Ahmed West Indies: Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Shai Hope(w), Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Roston Chase, Jason Holder(c), Carlos Brathwaite, Kemar Roach, Sheldon Cottrell, Oshane Thomas
