India A registered a dominant 7-wicket victory over the United Arab Emirates (UAE), marking their second consecutive victory in the ACC Men's T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024.
India A defeated the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by seven wickets in the ACC Men's T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 clash on October 21 (Monday) at Al Amerat in Muscat, Oman. Led by Tilak Varma, India registered a dominant win as they defeated UAE with 55 balls remaining and continued their winning form in the tournament.
UAE won the toss and elected to bat first. They got off to an underwhelming start as they lost their first wicket in the first over itself. From then on there was no coming back for the UAE batters as India’s bowling attack, led by Rasikh Salam, bundled the Gulf kingdom out for 107 runs in 16.5 overs. Salam bagged a three-fer as Ramandeep Singh bagged two wickets.

Abhishek Sharma's Blazing Fifty Guides India Home With 55 Balls Remaining
Chasing a relatively small total, India too got off to a turbulent start as they lost opener Prabhsimran Singh in the first over. However, his partner Abhishek Sharma took it upon himself to give India a good start and hit blazing 54 runs off just 24 balls, with four sixes and five boundaries
Captain Tilak Varma too contributed with a 21-run knock as Ayush Badoni finished the game for India in just 10.5 overs, with seven wickets remaining.
With the win, India stand at the top of the Group B points table in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024. India have two wins in two matches with a healthy Net Run Rate (NRR) of +2.460.
Pakistan A, who lost to India in both team’s opening fixture of the tournament, registered a 74-run win over UAE on Monday and as a result, they are positioned second on the points table. Pakistan have two points in two matches with the NRR of +1.675.
Coming to the Group A points table, Afghanistan A are positioned at the top after two wins in as many matches followed by Sri Lanka A on the second spot.
