Rohit Sharma shattered a plethora of records on Saturday as he notched up the second consecutive century in the ongoing Test against South Africa. After a ravishing 176 in the first innings, the HITMAN slammed 127 in the second, boosting India’s overall lead above the 300-run mark. Rohit’s sensational knock was a pleasure to many eyes that watched him dealing superbly with the responsibility of an opener. While the fans rejoiced Rohit’s batting, people from the cricketing fraternity heaped praises on his superb innings. Here are some of the reactions: Rohit also surpassed Rahul Dravid for most consecutive fifty-plus scores by an Indian batsman at home. Dravid had slammed six fifty-plus scores between 1997 and 1998 while this was the seventh time that Rohit went past that mark. His last seven Test scores in India read 127, 176, 50*, 65, 102*, 51* and 82. At the close of play, the Proteas were 11/1 in their second innings with last innings' centurion Dean Elgar trapped in front by Ravindra Jadeja for just two and Aiden Markram (3 batting) at the crease with Theunis de Bruyn (5 batting).
